Product description: Sunflower oil, HOSO (High Oleic Sunflower Oil), 5 L. Refined, winterised product with a high concentration of oleic acid oil. For food. Oleic acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid (this type is abundant in olive oil). Ordinary sunflowers are dominated by polyunsaturated fatty acids (linoleic acid), which are less stable when heated. The “High Oleic” variety is a derivative variety, the oil of which contains about 70-90% oleic acid, which is why it: is more resistant to heating (higher smoke point); oxidizes more slowly and does not spoil, has a longer shelf life; is healthier - more similar to olive oil (improves the level of “good” cholesterol, reduces “bad”). It is most often used: in food production (baking, frying, mayonnaise); in the production of processed products (chips, snacks, baked goods), because it retains its taste and quality longer. HOSO sunflower oil is a “healthier” version of sunflower oil, similar to olive oil, but with a more neutral taste and more stable when heated.
